Week eight kicked off the Northeastern Nevada STEM Project. It was an incredibly intense week full of amazing teaching, learning and community building. I used the EPET summer face-to-face website as a model, and the knowledge gleaned from creating this website to create a website for the STEM project (nevadastemproject.org). This site became an important part of the organization and communication among the facilitators and participants. Realizing the power of this tool, I can't imagine teaching another workshop without an accompanying website or wiki. I think I will add this site to my list of digital projects because if it hadn’t been for the EPET program, I would not have had the knowledge or confidence to take on such a task!
While there are a number of advantages, positive points, and successes to report from week eight, my time to blog is short! Off I go to complete my last article critique!
